Rochester is the largest city to be in the path of totality for this duration in proximity to major cities like NYC and Boston on the east coast. In fact, Rochester has been named one of the best cities to watch the 2024 eclipse by National Geographic, Fodor's and Thrillist.
Visitors will enjoy three minutes and 38 seconds of totality, 1 minute longer than the 2017 eclipse!!
We are selling eclipse glasses for this once in a lifetime event! These eclipse safety glasses are the only safe way to look directly at the partial eclipse phases of the Sun (even at 99.9% coverage) for the total Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024 or other solar events. These solar eclipse glasses meet rigorous safety standards and they meet the transmission requirements for direct solar observation.
If you normally wear eyeglasses, keep them on. Put your eclipse glasses on over them, or hold your handheld viewer in front of them. Stand still and cover your eyes with your eclipse glasses or solar viewer before looking up at the bright Sun. Never look directly at the sun during a solar eclipse (except during the very brief time the sun is in total eclipse; and even then, with caution). Looking directly at the sun can cause permanent damage to your eyes.
One size fits most adults, teens and children. They will be sold individually or in packs of 10 for families and groups.
We are doing airbrush face painting and temporary tattoos at special events all across the area on April 8th. We still have some time slots available.
If you have questions about the glasses or our airbrush face painting and temporary tattoos, please contact us at 585-482-8786 or terry@arlenescostumes.com
